A designer collaboration can make perfectly sensible women behave as though there is only one embellished jacket left on earth. The answer is not to shop faster. It is to decide better before the doors, or the browser tabs, open.

The ELIE SAAB x H&M U.S. collection now launches on **October 29, 2026**. Select participating stores open the collection at **9:00 AM local time**, while online shopping begins at **10:00 AM ET**.

First: choose your shopping lane

If you are shopping online, sign into your H&M account the night before. Confirm your delivery address, payment method and usual sizes. Keep your first-choice pieces in a simple written list or screenshots, and go directly to them when the collection opens.

If you are shopping in person, do not assume your nearest, or largest, store is participating. Confirm with the store first, then arrive 60–90 minutes early. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water and know the return policy before removing any tags.

The IWHS 3-2-1 list

Before launch morning, write down:

1. **Three dream pieces.** These are the items you would genuinely wear and would still want without the collaboration hype. 2. **Two backups.** Choose alternatives that fill the same wardrobe need, not random consolation prizes. 3. **One maximum budget.** Decide the total before you see a countdown clock or a low-stock warning.

When checkout opens, buy your first-choice piece first. Do not keep browsing while your best item sits in the cart. Finish the purchase, then return for anything else.

Your city timing

Miami and New York

Select participating stores launch at **9:00 AM ET** and online shopping begins at **10:00 AM ET**. In person gives you a one-hour head start, but only when the store has confirmed participation and you can arrive early. Otherwise, online is the calmer plan.

Austin

Online shopping begins at **9:00 AM CT**, the same time participating stores open locally. Choose one primary strategy so you are not trying to manage a checkout queue from a store line. If online is your plan, be signed in and ready a few minutes before 9.

San Francisco

Online shopping begins at **7:00 AM PT**, two hours before participating stores open at **9:00 AM local time**. Online is your strongest first move. If your dream pieces sell out, a confirmed Bay Area store can become the backup plan.

The rule that matters most

A collaboration is not a wardrobe emergency. Buy the piece because it makes your closet better, not because everyone else is refreshing the same page. If none of your three dream pieces is available, close the tab. There will always be another shoe.
