Cannes, couture, and closet clean-outs… hi loves!
This week, my feed—and heart—have been full of high-glamour moments from the Cannes red carpet. From fringe and feathers to sculpted satin and cosmic sparkle, the fashion didn’t whisper… it roared. Naturally, I picked my favorites and broke them down for you—designer inspo and summer-ready looks you’ll actually wear.
Also… don’t forget:
👠 The Luxury Shoe Swap is happening this Thursday — bring a pair, leave with a pair (or two). It’s fashion meets sustainability, and yes, there will be bubbles. 🥂
💼 The “And Just Like That” premiere drops this week — we’ll be tuning in with cosmos and commentary. Carrie would never miss this, and neither should you.
And — as promised — my NYC style notes are below. Let’s just say… crisp, cool, and very “grown woman in control.”
Grab your coffee—or cold brew martini—and let’s get into Cannes couture, summer trend forecasts, fashion news, and where to show up in style this week.

This Week’s Edit: Your Cannes-to-Closet Guide + Where to Be in Miami This Week 🌴

Red Carpet Recap: What Ruled Cannes 2025
This year’s Cannes Film Festival was a study in high drama and haute elegance. Here are the standout trends:
Gothic Romance & Midnight Sparkle
Feathered black gowns, mesh, and sequins gave gothic sophistication a modern twist.Sculptural Silhouettes
Think architectural forms, bold volume, and walking couture.Fringe with a Vengeance
Pastel fringe added texture and movement with a playful edge.Nude Neutrals & Metallic Blush
Soft rose, champagne, and blush tones were everywhere—subtle and ultra-feminine.Body-Skimming Glamour
Glossy fabrics, sheer panels, and timeless cuts gave a nod to Old Hollywood.Celestial & Cosmic Couture
Sparkle, shimmer, and drama in constellation-level embellishments.

Editor’s Take:
Cannes was a masterclass in contrast: gothic vs. minimalist, sculptural vs. slinky, soft blushes next to cosmic black. A reminder that style doesn’t shout—it speaks with intention.
Style Notes from NYC
A quick NYC recap from last week — and yes, it delivered:
Preppy Chic Is Back — Boxy knits, pleated minis, and ballet flats with edge.
Menswear Cool — Sharp suiting, oversized button-downs, and great loafers were everywhere.
Runway-to-Zara Magic — Zara’s current collection has some very wearable nods to the runways. I grabbed a pinstripe vest and a bias-cut skirt that are already in rotation.
A Private Visit to the LV Café — We had the place to ourselves. Expertly crafted cocktails inspired by Paris, a chocolate mousse to die for, and buttery bites that made you forget you were in Midtown. Every detail, from the linens to the handbags on display, was peak Vuitton — subtle luxury at its best.

NYC girls are dressing smart. Think crisp, confident, and a little undone — and it’s 100% influencing what’s going into my closet next.
