Happy Tuesday love!
It’s been a week — family chaos, Met Gala glamour, and more than a few moments of shoe envy. (Met Gala, you brought it!)
To every mom reading this: you’re doing the most — and doing it in style. I see you.
Miami’s giving us rain, but that doesn’t mean we’re skipping the look. Scroll below for my go-to designer rain boots, Met Gala moments that slayed (and a few that missed), trends you’ll actually want to wear, and what’s happening around town.
Let’s get into it.
With love + style,
Anna, Your Editor & Host
This Week’s Edit: From Couture (Met Gala 2025) to Cloudy Skies
Thom Browne – Structured fantasy with surreal tailoring. I’d wear the entire collection.
MET GALA 2025: TAILORING BLACK STYLE WITH A MODERN EDGE
This year’s theme, “Tailoring Black Style,” celebrated the elegance, individuality, and legacy of Black dandyism. It was all about expressive tailoring, historical nods, and fearless reinterpretation — and the red carpet delivered.
Pharrell — one of this year’s co-chairs — didn’t just dress the part. He curated an entire Louis Vuitton campaign around the stars he styled for the Gala, scored by a custom track he produced himself. A full vibe.
Editor’s Take: I loved the mix of nostalgia and innovation this year. The statement florals were EVERYTHING — and I’d wear Thom Browne’s entire collection if I could.
Louis Vuitton – Romantic, bold, architectural silhouettes. Couture with a beat.
Editor’s Top Met Gala Picks:

Editor’s Take: I enjoyed the balance of heritage and innovation — statement florals, wearable art. But a few looks crossed into ‘art installation’ territory. There’s edgy, and then there’s… cardboard swan hat. You know who you are.
Socially Stylish with Courtney Spritzer
This week’s guest, Courtney Spritzer, the co-founder of Socialfly and Entreprenista — a media company and community built to support and spotlight women entrepreneurs. We wanted Courtney on the pod because she’s not just building brands — she’s building platforms that give women a real seat at the table.

In this episode:
- From NYU to CEO — how she pivoted from finance into digital marketing
- The poker table deal that got them their first office
- How a podcast turned into a full-on movement for women founders
Trends You’ll Be Seeing Everywhere
Garden-core Florals: Romantic and wild — perfect for soft power. → Style Tip: Pair a floral blouse with denim and a minimal sandal.
Dramatic Sleeves & Sculptural Shapes: Add volume, structure, and instant presence. → Style Tip: Let sleeves take the spotlight — keep the bottom sleek.

Shimmer, Sequins, and Sheer Layering: Sparkle and softness in equal measure. → Style Tip: Wear a sheer sequin tank over a silk cami or dress.
Embroidered Gloves + Metallic Heels: Accessories are having a couture moment. → Style Tip: Let the heels shine — pair with a sharp, tailored set.

Rain Boots, But Make It Chic
Miami may be serving showers, but we’re still showing up stylish. Here’s how to stay dry without sacrificing your fit:
Miami Playful → Printed ankle boots + cutoff denim + slouchy white tee. Don’t forget the gold hoops.
Polished + Practical → Sleek boots + satin midi skirt + pop-color umbrella. Street chic meets storm prep.
Editor’s Umbrella Pick: That giant cobalt one from Miami Design District? Yes, please. Rain is just runway with better lighting.
